17 Mar BCQS Attends Ground Breaking Ceremony for New Geriatric Hospital in Waterford, Barbados

BCQS recently had the honour of attending the ground breaking ceremony for the new Geriatric Hospital in Waterford, Barbados. As Quantity Surveyors for the project, BCQS is proud to be a part of this significant development in the healthcare infrastructure of Barbados. The project, valued at circa US$50m, is slated for completion in Q4 2024 and will provide 300 beds for geriatric patients.
As a quantity surveying services provider for the project, BCQS is proud to be a part of this significant development in the healthcare infrastructure of Barbados. The new Geriatric Hospital will be a three-story building with offices, dining areas, a chapel, laundry facilities, and a therapeutic pool. The development also includes external works and services. The total internal floor area of the project is approximately 140,000 square feet.
The Main Contractor will be C O Williams Construction in partnership with Preconco and Versatile Construction. The collaboration between these companies will ensure that the project is built to the highest quality standards and that the facility is delivered on time and within budget.
BCQS is excited to be part of this milestone project that will provide much-needed support for the geriatric population in Barbados. As the project progresses, we will continue to provide updates on our involvement and the overall development of the Geriatric Hospital in Waterford.
