BCQS International, the leading Property and Development Consultancy of its kind in the Caribbean region and Latin America announced the appointment of Michael McGrath as Head of Valuations, based in the Cayman office.

Michael previously worked for BCQS International between 2007-2010 before temporarily moving to Australia for family commitments. During this time he was employed as a Director of Valuation and Advisory for Jones Lang LaSalle in Queensland, Australia.

"Michael is a seasoned global executive with extensive property investment and valuation experience and we are delighted to have him back on the BCQS team," said Liam Day, Managing Director of BCQS International. "We're committed to expanding our world class team to accelerate our long-term growth strategy. Michael will be an excellent addition and his background and experience will be invaluable."

Michael's key objectives as Head of Valuations for BCQS International are to continue to provide the highest reporting standards, maintain and develop client relationships and to grow the business line organically.
"I have spent my career in the valuation and advisory industry and have been fortunate to have worked on some of the largest valuation floors in the world," said Michael. "I'm looking forward to being part of the BCQS team again and building upon the Company's positive momentum."

Michael has over 14 years experience providing valuation reporting and advice to a wide range of commercial and public clients both locally and internationally and has reported to some of the world's largest financial institutions. He has held various senior positions globally, and his expertise is in the valuation of large-scale residential-led mixed-use developments.

Prior to joining BCQS, Michael worked at Jones Lang LaSalle in London, which is the second largest real estate advisor in the world. Michael worked as an Associate Director responsible for high level client reporting, meeting financial budgets and deadlines, growing the business line and training and mentoring valuation staff. During this period Michael also tested valuation software for Jones Lang LaSalle (UK) and was selected to represent the Valuation Advisory department as a member of a newly created in-house professional advisory business line group.

Furthermore, Michael was also employed as a Senior Valuation Surveyor at CB Richard Ellis in London, which is the largest real estate advisor in the world.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Queensland in Australia. In addition, Michael is currently a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Australian Property Institute.
